I have extensive data compliance experience honed in a career that has covered inbound and outbound marketing; meetings and live event management; publishing; and traditional communications, data and PR. As part of the team at Data Oversight I act as both a privacy lead and Data Protection Officer for a number of organisations in the commercial and third sectors.
Over the last two years, my core interest has been in privacy by design, particularly in the governance of data in healthcare technology and the regulation of AI . This has enabled me to connect with a wide variety of different individuals within the data protection, compliance, data and information security arenas. These connections enable me to listen to a diverse range of opinions and experiences which can be incorporated throughout my working practices.
My peers would describe my approach to data protection as pragmatic and my working style as quietly authoritative. My aim is to make every organisation see that implementing good data protection policies and procedures is a positive-sum for their business.
