The HR dept at my company wants to collection information on the dates employees have had their first and second covid-19 vaccinations. I’m waiting for them to tell me why they want this information and what processing they will carrying out on it. But I was wondering what other peoples experience of this is?
Is this data your company is/will be collecting? And if so, what justification are you using for collecting it?

There is good ICO guidance on this – as well as collecting information on contact tracing and other COVID related matters.
I would consult this and share the document with your HR department.
Essentially it says that if you don’t have a compelling reason to collect it, don’t, and that if you do collect it, this task probably shouldn’t be done by HR but by a healthcare professional.
