Be interested if anyone has started to create a Privacy / Data Protection master list of acronyms that are used and if they keep this internally for their own / client use or have made this a public facing ?
Indeed do you explicitly use these in your trainings F2F or online eLearning offerings if you have them?
Every discipline loves its acronyms… !!
TTFN and do you “Know Your Acronyms” 🙂

I have a list on my wiki – and for every client we keep a list of both acronyms in general use and file naming conventions which use them.
My favourite this month is CMP – Consent Management Platform – which has had to be explained about 52 times because that is an acronym that is used for many other purposes
RoPA often gets a blank stare

I rather like the PbD2 (which could be a Star Wars Droid.. this is not the term you are looking for .. )

Agreed Hellen, Me “RoPA” Client “What’s that?” I often talk about a ‘Data Map’ in the early stages of conversations with clients and then migrate them to RoPA in due course.

I use TOMs for “Technical and Organisational Measures” 🙂

Dave, I do have a list. I will provide it to clients but its generally not run through in training activities as it would take too much time. Much of my training focuses on engaging clients in the topics of GDPR and Cyber Security as all too often the training they’ve had in these areas is very dry and often poor. I’ll use games, role play, videos to “spice” up the sessions.
