My organisation has a number of Facebook groups for our members.
It is the responsibility of the organisation to remove its members from the Facebook groups if they exercise their right to be forgotten or should the member “remove” themselves?
Thank you

Did you hear the collective wince from all the DP professionals when you mentioned the word ‘Facebook’…
You should remove them as a member from the group, but you can’t remove the data because it belongs to the individual and remains part of their record on Facebook – they would have to make an erasure request to the platform directly.
From memory, I can’t remember if removing an individual from a group also deletes all of their contributions, you’ll need to check the current operational T&Cs on Facebook for that.
