I always advise looking at a few who make sensible and balanced comments on LinkedIn see who likes or comments on their posts and consider if they will add to your knowledge and understanding of DP issues 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn EmmaB 0 Questions 2 Answers 0 Best Answers 2 Points View Profile EmmaB 2021-02-02T15:08:19+01:00Added an answer on February 2, 2021 at 3:08 pm This answer was edited. I only have LinkedIn, no other social media. I recommend following a range of people to expose yourself to different experiences and views. It can be easy to find an echo chamber. Also beware of thinking that those who post the most or are the most vocal are the most knowledgeable or experienced. Having a network of peers through formal or informal groups is more valuable to me than LinkedIn. To keep up with news I suggest subscribing to the various free alerts out there, often from law firms but also the ICO’s newsletters. I get alerts from Fieldfisher, Hunton, Taylor Wessing, MoFo, Kemp Little, Hogan Lovells, Bird&Bird, Daniel Solove and Chris Pounder’s Hawktalk. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn HellenB 2 Questions 83 Answers 0 Best Answers 79 Points View Profile HellenB Silver contributor 2021-01-29T17:44:03+01:00Added an answer on January 29, 2021 at 5:44 pm I follow Phil Lee and Eduardo Ustaran plus: Eleonor Duhs, https://www.linkedin.com/in/eleonor-duhs-193807164/ Woodrow Hartzog, https://www.linkedin.com/in/woodrow-h-0791bb1/ Abigail Dubiniecki, https://www.linkedin.com/in/abigaild/ Daniel Solove, https://www.linkedin.com/in/danielsolove/ EDPO, https://www.linkedin.com/company/edpo/ ICO, https://www.linkedin.com/company/information-commissioner's-office/ I’m also really lucky to be connected to lots of privacy professionals globally and I enjoy hearing about the issues in their worlds. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Leave an answerCancel replyYou must login to add an answer.
