Hey folks,
If I ask this question on LI, I will be swarmed by vendors, so I thought I’d ask people that are likely to actually use the products I’d like to ask about.
Basically, I am currently browsing for a SaaS solution to help me out organise/maintain our Register of Processing Activities. I am not looking for a huge solution that’ll cost 50k per year, but just some simple tools to help the Privacy network work together and use a ROPA as a means to capture all info relating to a specific processing activity. Possibly also hosting PIAs.
What does the Watercooler hivemind suggests looking at? What do you guys use? aside from xls, of course…

Hi Figaro – Everyone is saying the right kind of thing here. Look around, use people you trust as a helpful signpost and do your due diligence on any system that you’re looking at.
I use TrustArc, but that’s in a large organization. There is a platform called MetaCompliance, which has eLearning, Policy distribution, and a whole privacy module that includes RoPA, risk assessment, DPIA assessment, amongst others. Full disclosure, we resell it. But it’s worth having a look.

I’d echo Egil, and like Egil, I’m not truly objective as I am in the process of gearing up to use/promote PriviQ. They are new to the UK but established in other geo locations. The key for me is the price which you can see on their website. Happy to arrange a demo.
For sure you cannot go wrong with DPOrganiser – it does what is says on the tin.
I don’t know Keepabl
Like all purchases – due diligence is key

Hi I’ll provide the first answer, but since I’m hardly objective I’ll refer to what I saw Tash Whitaker recently post on LI – her top 3 at the moment was PriviQ, Keepabl and DPOrganizer.
I have huge respect for Tash so all three are probably worth checking out.
