What SCCs to use for UK transfers?

  • 0

Hi, I’m confused about what SCCs to use for transfer from UK to e.g. US after the new SCCs are released, because as I understand it – the guidance from ICO refers to the old SCCs. Anyone?

Old EU SCCs as modified by the ICO, they’ve done the work on that: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/international-transfers-after-uk-exit/sccs-after-transition-period/

The new thing will be called an International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and the consultation just closed.

My understanding, based on ICO guidelines, is to use the old SCCs for UK to US transfers for now.
They are working on UK GDPR SCCs and will release them “soon”
